The relevant statute is Mass. Gen. L. ch. 176D §4.


A. Actions lender may take: No express statutory provision.


B. Notices required: No express statutory provision.


C. Coverage required: No express statutory provision.


D. Charges permitted: Mass. Gen. L. ch. 176D §4(c) - Lenders may not require that any borrower, insurer or agent pay a separate charge to substitute the insurance policy of one insurer for that of another.


E. Finance charge allowed on lender's payment: Mass. Gen. L. ch. 176D §4(c) - Interest on premium advancements made in accordance with a security instrument is permitted.
